Code of Conduct
The Refactor events were set up by women who got frustrated about being in the minority at technical events. The events celebrate women who are intelligent, have passion for a subject and know that subject in depth. We don’t want anything to detract from the fun stuff: the technology, the innovation and the spread of new ideas.
As a consequence, we're dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, or religion because we value you and your attendance.
We do not tolerate harassment of event participants in any form. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event venue, including talks.
If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, we'll take any action we feel is appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund. Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact an organiser immediately.
